The addition of the new markets means UTA eCharge for public charging can now be used by customers in 15 European countries, including Germany, Austria, Benelux, France, Italy, Spain and Poland.
UTA eCharge is designed to meet all electric fleet vehicle requirements and cover all charging scenarios. With UTA eCharge and the UTA eCard charging card or the UTA eCharge app, all classes of fleet vehicles – from cars and vans to trucks – can be charged at public charging stations, at corporate premises including depots, and at drivers’ homes.
Through its network of specialist partners, UTA Edenred supplies all services related to electrification, including the design and installation of corporate charging infrastructure, the ongoing management of that infrastructure, and billing, training and maintenance.
The 360° charging capability is currently available to UTA customers in Germany, with further roll-out to more countries planned in the coming months.
Pierre Jalady, General Manager Edenred Mobility EMEA and CEO of UTA Edenred, says: "With this latest expansion of UTA eCharge, we’re helping even more customers transition to sustainable mobility, regardless of the number of vehicles and vehicle classes they have."
Automatic mileage recording feature
When charging in the UTA eCharge public charging network, UTA customers benefit from a special feature: While their vehicle is charging, its mileage is automatically recorded and logged on the next invoice. No manual entry is required. To use the mileage recording feature, a vehicle must first be linked to the UTA eCharge app. Charging processes can then be carried out via the app or UTA eCard.
Comparing mileage and the amount of electricity charged on a regular basis helps detect irregularities and fraud. Furthermore, charging cycles and mileage are the main factors influencing the service life of the battery and thus for assessing the residual value of an electric vehicle.
The mileage recording capability is currently available for passenger cars of Volkswagen, BMW and Cupra. Models from Skoda, Tesla and Audi will be added shortly.
