How do I activate UTA CardLock on an existing card?

You can enable UTA CardLock directly when creating a new card subscription. The subscription will start in a Pending state until the first driver activates it (or the fleet manager confirms activation).

  1. Log into myUTA portal and open the customer's subscription.

  2. Navigate to the card list and select the card you want to protect.

  3. In the card details, open the UTA CardLocknsection and toggle activation on.

  4. The card will show Pending status - the card remains usable without UTA CardLock until the driver completes the next step.

  5. The driver receives an email that activates their Edenred Identity account (if needed) and a notification email confirming UTA CardLock activation.

  6. The driver must log into the UTA Edenred Drive app at least once. After this first login, UTA CardLock becomes Active and the card will be locked by default.

    The fleet manager can activate UTA CardLock on behalf of the driver by clicking "Confirm activation" in the myUTA portal, by passing the need for the driver's first login.UTA CardLock becomes active instantly upon activation - no driver login or fleet manager confirmation is required. Fleet managers can then add drivers if needed.
