Toll changes 1st quarter 2025

All information on the European toll system for the first quarter of 2025 can be found here.

CO₂ Toll Europe

  • Denmark: Introduction on 01.01.2025.
  • Hungary: Expected introduction in 2025.
  • Eurovignette (Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden): Planned introduction in March 2025.

Austria | ASFiNAG:
  • New vignette tariffs valid from 01.01.2025
  • A 13 Brenner Motorway - Reconstruction of Lueg Bridge:
    From 1 January 2025, traffic restrictions are to be expected on the Lueg Bridge along the A13 Brenner Motorway. The exact restrictions and lorry driving bans can be found in the relevant calendar. Please plan your journeys accordingly and check the latest updates.


Germany | Toll Collect:

  • Emission-free vehicles remain exempt from tolls until 31.12.2025. From 01.01.2026, they will pay only 25% of the regular toll for infrastructure costs, plus noise and air pollution fees.

Belgium | Viapass:
  • New tariffs in Wallonia valid from 01.01.2025.
  • New tariffs in Flanders and Brussels valid from 01.07.2025.

Switzerland | BAZG:
  • New tariffs valid from 2025-01-01 (increase by 5%).
  • The current "LSVA II" toll system will be replaced by "LSVA III".
    • The start date for "LSVA III" has been postponed form 01.01.2025 to 01.03.2025.

France & Italy | Mont-Blanc Tunnel - Frejus and TMB-Card | SFTRF - SITAF - GEIE TMB:
Hungary | HU-GO:
  • New tariffs valid from 01.01.2025
  • From 01.02.2025 route tickets will only be valid for 120 minutes from the time of purchase.

Denmark | Eurovignette - KmToll:
  • Denmark will leave the Eurovignette consortium as of 01.01.2025.
    • Eurovignettes will no longer be valid in Denmark from this date.
  • New toll system applies to vehicles from 12 tonnes (excluding buses).

Portugal | SCUT Motorways:
  • Termination of toll collection on former SCUT concessions from 01.01.2025.
  • As of 01.01.2025, the following ex-SCUTs are toll-free (these sections previously had free-flow traffic):
    • A4 (Transmontana and Túnel do Marão)
    • A13 and A13-1 (Pinhal Interior)
    • A22 (Algarve)
    • A23 (Beira Interior)
    • A24 (Interior Norte)
    • A25 (Beiras Litoral e Alta)
    • A28 (Minho), on this highway, only the route Esposende to Antas and Neiva to Darque will be toll-free.

  • Some ex-SCUT motorways remain tolled (free-flow toll system):
    • A17: Marinha Grande to Mira
    • A29: Vila Nova de Gaia to Estarreja
    • A41: External Regional Circular of Porto
    • A42: connect to A41 (Ermesinde) to Paços de Ferreira

Poland:
  • Introduction of new tolled sections on some motorways.
  • New tariffs in the e-TOLL network
  • A1 AmberOne Motorway [GTC]: From 01.01.2025 , [GTC] A1 AmberOne Motorway in Poland will resume toll collection for light fleet vehicles. UTA card acceptance will be enabled.

Spain:
  • Expected average increase in toll fees by +2 to +3%, depending on the concessionaire.
  • New discount on the Atlantic Motorway (AP-9):
    • The stretch known as the Atlantic Motorway in Galicia, northwest Spain, will offer a -50% toll discount for heavy commercial vehicles from the first journey
    • For light commercial vehicles making at least 20 trips, the discount will be increased from -20% to -50%.
    • The discount is automatically applied to the payable toll amount. No separate discount statement is issued


France | TIS PL - TIS VL:

  • The new A69 Toulouse / Castres motorway will be one of the first multi-lane free-flow motorways in France. Planned launch: 2025.
  • New tariffs depending on the motorway network valid from 01.02.2025 (estimated increase: +0.9%, not yet approved).

 

France | R-Pass:

  • Introduction of an electronic toll system in Alsace planned for Q4 2025

 

Czech Republic | MYTO CZ

Croatia | HAC:
  • Introduction of a barrier-free toll system in 2025:
    • Light vehicles: Payment via toll device or e-vignette
    • Heavy vehicles: Payment via toll box.
