UTA is supporting the Truckers Life Foundation in setting up a new Truckers Gym at the Europa Park service station in Herbolzheim on the A5.
The open-air gym, which can be used free of charge, offers various training equipment on which professional drivers can perform simple fitness exercises to help them relax and actively recover during their break.
The official opening of the facility will take place on Wednesday 18 August from 10:00 to 15:00 and is open to all interested parties. A colourful entertainment programme including a fitness competition will be offered and numerous prizes and surprises await the guests.
UTA is supporting the new Truckers Gym with financial resources from its "Together we care" fund, which was set up to support selected projects and initiatives during the Corona pandemic.
Truckers Gym is one of the flagship projects of the Polish non-governmental organisation Truckers Life Foundation, which works to improve the health and safety of professional drivers. The project involves the construction of free open-air gyms in the largest car parks in Europe.
The new gym at the Europa-Park service area is already the 107th facility of its kind in Europe and number 23 in Germany.
