  • Across Europe, the diesel alternative is available for UTA customers at more than 1,000 stations in 14 countries
  • HVO100 as an effective lever to reduce the carbon footprint of vehicle fleets

Kleinostheim, Germany – UTA Edenred, a leading mobility service provider in Europe and an Edenred company, is constantly expanding the availability of HVO100 fuel in its acceptance network. The alternative to fossil diesel is now available in the UTA network at more than 1,000 fuel stations in 14 European countries: In Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

HVO100 and the HVO blends form part of UTA Edenred’s range of alternative fuels, which have been available to customers for some time.

Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred, says: "We take an open-technology approach in which we offer whatever type of fuel our customers require. In addition to conventional fuels, we provide alternative fuels such as LNG, CNG, biodiesel and HVO as well electric vehicle charging. That’s helping our customers transition to sustainable mobility."

HVO100 provides fleet operators with a lever to reduce the carbon footprint of their vehicles. The fuel is produced from industrial and agricultural fat and oil residues and can be mixed with conventional diesel in various concentrations. In its pure form, HVO100 enables a CO2 reduction of up to 90 per cent over the fuel’s life cycle compared to fossil diesel. In principle, HVO100 can be refuelled instead of diesel; technical conversion of vehicles is not necessary. The vehicle manufacturer's approval must be checked before HVO100 is used.
