The UTA Edenred Drive app, available free of charge for iOS and Android, merges the functions of two formerly separate UTA Edenred apps into one practical mobility tool.
UTA Edenred Drive incorporates the UTA EasyFuel® digital fuel card as well as UTA Stationsfinder, which provides a search function for the nearest or least expensive fuel station options, specific types of fuel and UTA Plus Services. Two-factor authentication with a security PIN and optional biometric protection help safeguard the user account stored in the app. Furthermore, if a user forgets their PIN, they can retrieve it via the app.
UTA EasyFuel®: UTA Edenred‘s digital fuel card
With UTA EasyFuel®, drivers can process fuel transactions at the pump with their smartphone. This reduces the risk of illegal card skimming and saves time by eliminating the need to queue at checkout.
The digital fuel card can be used at approximately 4,000 fuel stations in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy and other countries – with more to follow. Affiliated energy brands include HEM/Tamoil, Westfalen, Q1, AVIA, Classic, Hoyer, Tamoil, Maes and PMO.
UTA CardLock feature strengthens fuel card security
UTA CardLock provides additional protection against fuel card misuse. With the feature enabled, a UTA card is kept in default safe mode, which blocks its use. To carry out a fuel transaction, a driver simply activates their card for a 60-minute time window via the app. After that, the card is automatically reset to safe mode.
Fleet managers can also activate the feature via the UTA Service Center.
Additional functionality in development
In the months ahead, more features will be added to UTA Edenred Drive to enhance its practicality, including expanded navigation and filter functions and integrated 24-hour roadside assistance. In addition, UTA eCharge® capabilities will let drivers search for UTA acceptance network charging points along their routes.
