EnBW and UTA Edenred create a single source for all fleet requirements

Fleets are facing increasing complexity as they transition to electric mobility. In addition to charging, they need simple solutions for vehicle-related services. The partnership combines EnBW’s fleet offering with UTA Edenred’s automotive service plattorm to create a unified solution for fleet operators.

Fleet operators are increasingly turning to holistic solutions to reduce the growing complexity of fleet management. In the age of electric mobility, they not only expect support with vehicle procurement and the development of charging infrastructure, but also access to comprehensive fleet services. This is where EnBW, the operator of Germany’s largest fast-charging network, and UTA Edenred, a leading mobility service provider for passenger car and commercial vehicle fleets, are joining forces to meet customer demand.

An electric company car needs more than just electricity for the next few kilometres. UTA Edenred offers fleet operators access to a broad network of automotive service providers across Germany, through which they can obtain vehicle cleaning, seasonal tyre changes, and repair and maintenance work. “Fleet electrification brings with it complexity that goes beyond replacing fuel with electricity,” says Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred. “Through our network of automotive service providers and digital platform, we enable fleet operators to manage all their processes – from charging to vehicle maintenance – via a single, optimised solution.

“As a fleet user, you don’t want to have to worry about paying for and billing electricity for charging or for vehicle-related services. It should be as simple as possible and work everywhere,” explains Lars Jacobs, Chief Commercial Officer for E-Mobility at EnBW. This is where EnBW and UTA Edenred complement each other perfectly.

Transparent costs and centralised billing for fleets of all sizes

Alongside complexity, cost control is also a key issue for fleet operators. This is where the EnBW HyperNetz, which incorporates over 8,000 fast-charging points, comes into its own. “As Germany’s only nationwide fast-charging network, drivers can find an EnBW charging point every 50 kilometres across the country,” says Jacobs. “Combined with our consistent and transparent fleet tariffs, this enables genuine predictability and cost control.” In the future, users will gain access not only to the charging network via EnBW, but also to selected value-added services. Billing for all services – from EV charging to vehicle-related services – is handled centrally by EnBW, simplifying administration and increasing planning reliability.

“The collaboration between EnBW and UTA Edenred is unique among charging providers in Germany to date,” noted Jacobs at the “Flotte! Der Branchentreff!” trade fair on 25 March when announcing the partnership. “Many of our B2B customers have been asking for such services for years. With this offering, we’re closing an important gap – not just for large fleets, but for small and medium-sized fleets too.”

Both companies are already exploring opportunities to expand the partnership. UTA Edenred offers other automotive-related services, including breakdown assistance and toll settlement. These examples illustrate the potential for future phases of the partnership.

Driving the market for sustainable mobility

The offering is expected to be available to existing and new EnBW fleet customers in Germany beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026. Through the partnership, EnBW and UTA Edenred are helping corporate fleet operators make the switch to e-mobility. “We’re delighted to partner with UTA Edenred,” says Jacobs. “Together, we’re creating real added value for fleet customers with a solution that noticeably simplifies their day-to-day operations and delivers all the services they require from a single source. In doing so, we’re making e-mobility even more attractive and efficient for businesses.”
