UTA Edenred adds all Shell service stations in Germany to its acceptance network

Kleinostheim, Germany – UTA Edenred, a leading mobility service provider in Europe and an Edenred company, has expanded its cooperation with Shell by adding 500 additional Shell stations in Germany to its acceptance network effective 1 September. Through the agreement, UTA Card holders can access the entire Shell network in Germany, representing 1,950 fuel stations.

  • 500 Shell service stations join UTA Edenred’s German fuel network
  • UTA Edenred is the first brand-independent fuel card provider in Germany to offer full Shell acceptance
  • Agreement is the third between UTA Edenred and Shell this year alone

UTA customers can purchase diesel, petrol, AdBlue, LNG, HVO100 and lubricants at the stations as well as cleaning services for passenger cars.

Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred, says: "Shell is one of our longest-standing partners and we’re pleased to be the first mobility service provider in Germany to offer full Shell acceptance. Following earlier agreements this year with Shell in Spain and the UK, the German expansion is our latest joint milestone."

In recent months, UTA Edenred has added some 270 Shell stations on the Spanish mainland and Balearic Islands to its network and over 500 service stations in the United Kingdom.

Jérôme Reinecke, Head of Roaming and Pricing Europe at Shell, says: “Shell and UTA Edenred already have a long-standing, successful partnership in many European markets. We are delighted to welcome UTA Edenred customers to more Shell fuel stations in Germany and to offer them our wide range of high-quality products and services.”

UTA Edenred's acceptance network provides customers with access to more than 88,000 acceptance points in 38 European countries via a UTA Card. In addition to conventional and alternative fuels such as biodiesel, LNG and CNG plus an extensive HVO100 network, UTA Card holders can leverage services such as toll settlement, repair, vehicle cleaning, parking space bookings, combined transport and more. UTA eCharge® users, meanwhile, benefit from a 360° electromobility solution encompassing all charging scenarios and vehicle types that is gradually being rolled out across Europe.
