The toll is collected via the Eurovignette system: Trucks used for commercial purposes weighing more than 12 tonnes pay a fee based on the number of axles and carbon emissions class. Commercial vehicles weighing less than 12 tonnes and personal transport vehicles  are exempt from the toll. There are no additional fees for special road sections, tunnels or bridges in Luxembourg.

Commercial vehicles weighing less than 12 tonnes and transporting vehicles, as well as emergency vehicles (police, fire and rescue) and vehicles used for humanitarian or agricultural purposes are excluded from the toll, provided they meet the conditions for exemption.

Carbon toll

The Eurovignette tariff is based on the validity period (day, week, month, year) and number of axles and emissions class of the vehicle. Since 25 March 2025, carbon emissions class and environmental friendliness have been factored into the tariff. Vehicles with lower emissions benefit from lower fees.
